Washington's Last Frontier

My husband, Eric, and I decided to leave the fast pace of society and live out our days in the beautiful Washington wilderness.

This is a space to share glimpses into daily life - full of nesting and nomading, & forging deeper relationships to self, to old ways, & to the natural world.

I write about wilderness living, health & wellness, adventure travel, cozy homemaking, wild food foraging, DIY & craft projects, making a living online from home (or anywhere), natural living, my own recipes from scratch, and much more.

My hope is that you will find some nugget of inspiration here.
Thank you so much for stopping in & please come back often.

The kettle's always on...

Where are we?

Currently we're just south of British Columbia, between the North Cascades and The Rocky Mountains, tucked in one of the last remaining untouched wildernesses of America - the Columbia Highlands

This vast roadless area acts as a haven for wildlife - wolves, grizzly bears, caribou, elk, deer, cougars, ravens, magpies, bald eagles - with only 3 people per square mile, and not a single traffic light of any kind for hundreds of miles.

And this is the place we love and call home.
